Welcome to the third post in my “beginner’s tale” blog series here on GMC.
In the comments to my first post, I got a suggestion from RobM that I should get a guitar tuner and a metronome. Consequently I asked some questions about this in the wonderful GMC guitar forum, the threads can be found at these links: questions about getting a guitar tuner here, and questions about getting a metronome here. I got some great answers, and I felt that the time had come to tune my guitar as I didn’t want things like that to hold me back.

This is the second post in my “beginner’s tale” blog series. In my last post I told you about how I recently got my first guitar and how I am just starting out down the path to guitar fame and glory using GMC and it’s great community as my teachers.
Now, I have just finished my third practice session and it feels great! Playing the guitar is awesome! “What about progress?“, you ask, “How are you doing?”. Well, I’ll let you know in a minute, but first let me tell you about some mistakes I’ve made and things I’ve learned!

I would like to start off this beginner guitarist blog series by telling you that except for once in music class in school, I have NEVER ever tried to play the guitar, and I know next to nothing about guitars!
I have, however, worked with guitarists and as tech manager of the greatest guitar website in the world, GMC, for almost two years! During the better part of this time, Kristofer (the GMC founder and god of rock) has tried and tried to persuade me to start playing. Now, finally, his relentlessness has paid of, and I’m about to start my journey into a brave new world…
