Hey Ben,

i want to ask you a question about your Picking Arpeggios lesson here at gmc. I renewed my subscription last week and slowly start playing guitar again after my shoulder surgery.

That said i choosen two lessons from you: Picking Hand Basics to get my right hand in shape and the Picking arpegios lesson to train my left hand to make it strong again smile.gif

And here comes the problem:

Playing bar chords or chords where i have to stretch my fingers were always a problem for me. And now after the break it's even harder.

I try to play the first chord of your picking appregios lesson and can't produce enough power that all the strings ring out clearly. Often the A note on the D string sound dead because my pinky slides away from the fret. I play this lesson on my acoustic guitar because the action of strings is very high there and when i can play the lesson on that guitar i'm able to play it on any other guitar smile.gif

And here comes the question: How can I practice these chord shapes without clenching/cramping my left hand? Because that's what happens all the time.

Thanks for your time and help,

Roman

Hey guys,

today i tried to sign up again on gmc and start a new subscription but i can't use paypal for the payment. I log in to my PayPal Account and get a message that it's not possible to handle my request at the moment and i should return to the gmc site.

What is wrong there ?

cheers

Roman

Hey guys,

i want to share this video with you. Paul Gilbert talks about two types of guitarists: rhythmic and non rhythmic.

I think being a rhythmic guitarist is very important!

What's your opinion on this topic?

Hey GMC,

i joined GMC in year 2007 and was one of the first 1000 users here:)

Than i had a little GMC break of 3 months in 2009, came back and really enjoyed the time being in the MTP program with one of the former instructors Pedja Simovic.

After the MTP programm stopped i left GMC for another break. So my last post here in the forum was on May 2010 in the REC section (http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=35047&hl=)

But you all know GMC is a great place to be and so i'm back again smile.gif and I will renew my subscription very soon.

Some personal information:

My name is Roman and i'm 24 years old. I finally finished my studies last year and i hope i will have much more time now after work for studying the guitar now smile.gif

At the moment i can't play guitar, because i had a surgery on my left shoulder and have to wait 6 weeks before i'm allowed to move my left arm again. But i'm really looking forward to that day i can move my arm again and then i will start a new subscription here and the guitar studies goes on smile.gif

For the time being i will be around in the forum here and talk to you guys smile.gif

Have a nice day!

Roman
