Singelcoil Sice Humbucker

Hi,
does anybody have experiences with a singlecoil humbucker?
I think about to get an Seymour Duncan Hot Rail for my standard Strat, because i need more output and less hum in the bridge position for playin more metal stuff.
Worth it to get one?

can somebody make a lesson who explains how to play chord melody's in the style of Jimi Hendrix?
He had that special way to fret bare chords with his thumb and contemporary melody......that would be realy cool.

I've recorded a improvisation after i woke up this morning, i guess it's nothing special but it came right from my heart. I'm realy interested how do you like it, and i appreciate any advise what i can make better.
