Fender Guitar

hey guys..... Here is my problem:
I have a Les Paul and I want soon buy a stratocaster, until now I did never have a Strat type guitar and so I don´t know much about them.
I wanna buy any Fender or Mex. Fender Modell for not too much money.
In a shop I already played a Mex. Standard Strat and it was a quite cool feeling but I don´t know if it wouldn´t be maybe better to spend a little more money to buy another Modell but I don´t know much about the strats.....
I only know that I like the typical strat sound
So I hope You can suggest me any Fender(maybe Mex. Fender) Modell for not too much money.

New Humbuckers?

So I need a little help and suggestions what to do with my guitar:
I have the problem that my humbuckers are not useable sometimes.
Sometimes when I switch f. e. from neck to bridge pickup the guitar suddenly doesn´t make a noise anymore. I can´t get a tone out of my guitar when that happens. So I switch the amp and guitar on and off and on and off and after some time then I suddenly get a tone again out of it.
Now this happens very often at this time and it´s only horrible.
Beside that I don´t like very much my humbuckers. So is it worth to upgrade with new humbuckers? ( My guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Standard , about 425 Euros)
If I would upgrade it, which Humbuckers shall I buy?

Hi All You Guitar-masters(and Those Who Will Become Soon)

Hello everyone,
I want to introduce myself a little bit to your great GMC community:

So my name is Kurt,
I am 16 years old, soon 17, I live in a small town in Austria, and I am a music-fanatic.
Music is my life, I play the trumpet since I am 7 years old, I play also very much classical music on piano
( I also compose a lot by myself ).
But now I found my new main instrument and a new passion: The guitar.
I play since about one year, but I made a lot of progress because I really a freak and I practice as much as I can everyday. As Kris says often: its all about the practice. So I play guitar a few hours everyday.
In our school I am member of a jazz ensemble, where I am the only guitarist but I don´t like it very much because the other members suck .
No they don´t suck, but you know they are not as ambitious and enthusiastic as me.
The music that I prefer would be classic Rock like Led Zeppelin, or even blues stuff( I am a big fan of SVR).
But I would say my biggest influence and my favourite guitarist would be JIMMY PAGE.
He was my reason why I started E-Guitar. And so also my guitar is a Les Paul .( Epiphone Les Paul Standart in Honeyburst).
In about two years I wanna study music on University, I don´t know what exactly, but at least anything that has to do with music.

a lot of helpful time.
