Powerful Hi-gain Sound

Hi everyone! I'm kinda stuck in a search for a '80s heavy rock sound.. Something like John Sykes' meets Kee Marcello and early Gary Moore. Anyway, I'm not sure what equipment I am exactly looking for. I prefer it simple. I'd like to go straight into an amp and that's it, no pedal boards or whatsoever. So... If anyone has and advice, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

New Bands

I'm kind of... a old school rock fan, and I'm not into these new artists/bands who play "alternative" rock. Actually I hate it, lyrics are lame, there are no guitar solos, the musical background seems lousy. Anyway, if someone happens to know some new bands that are still active and that play something like old school rock, I would appreciate if he shared it with me.

Hi everyone!

I was told that I should introduce myself.. My name is Erol. Hmm.. I've been playing guitar for almost two years. I think I could be much better if I practised more, but unfortunately it remains a thought. I hope I'll have more time when I graduate. I'm still in high school and this is my last year there. I have Ibanez IJX40, it's a beginner's guitar from Ibanez Jumpstart pack. I'd like to buy a new one, but I think it's too early at the moment. And yeah, I have KORG ToneWorks PX4D which I use for distorsion and effects. I like rock, (heavy) metal, blues, jazz, classical, folk and many other genres of music. My favourite bands are: Guns 'N Roses, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Queen etc. My favourite guitarists are Jimi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen, Brian May, David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, Slash Michael Romeo, Joe Satriani, Muris Varajic, Hamo Salihbegovic and others. Dean Guitars

Hi everyone!
I've played guitar for almost 2 years, and I have Ibanez Gio; It's from Ibanez Jumpstart series, just a simple, beginner's guitar Anyway, I wanted to get myself a new one. I wouldn't rush with it though, time is on my side. I've seen one Dean guitar and fell in love with immediately.



Since I don't have much exp with guitar manufacturers, especially not with Dean, I wanted to hear second opinion before I've decided. So.. Does anyone have a Dean, and what are the impressions? Thanks.
