Hey guys,

This is probably a stupid qustion but if the band is playing in the key of E minor (Em, C, Bm, Em) would the a solo using the E Phrygian, and the other E modal scales be used only while the band is playing the Eminor chord or can be used through out the whole chord progression.

Hope that makes sense....& sorry for the stupid question but im still trying to understand this modal stuff....
