So I'm in a rut right now. My POD GX gave out on me and I'm looking to buy products that could ultimately lead to a better REC video. So I ask, what products do you all use (and how do you go about putting together your takes)?

Hey guys,

Today I got my new weapon of choice! It is a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 SE. I was surprised with it by my Dad who got it for me as an early graduation present since he could tell the love I have for it!

Made a little video to show it off to you guys!

WARNING:
The guitar playing isn't all that great because this guitar is a lot more slick than what I'm used too making the slides sound rough (among other parts). The point of the video is so you can all mainly hear how the guitar sounds and to let y'all get a good look at it!

I just found out that I'll be going to the Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival.

The best part is that I'll get to see my all time favorite band headline a stage! The boys from Children of Bodom are finally coming to a tour stop near me! This will be right after their new album drops! So stoked.

The lineup of bands is as follows:

Main Stage:
Rob Zombie
Five Finger Death Punch
Mastadon
Amon Amarth

The Jagermeister Stage:
Machine Head
Job For A Cowboy
Butcher Babies
Battlecross
Huntress

The Musicians Institute Stage:
Children of Bodom
Behemoth
Emmure
Born of Osirus
Motionless in White
Thrown Into Exhile

The Sumerian Records Stage:
TBA

I'm starting to get more into recording and was looking to see what everyone uses to record tracks that sound more professional.

I cannot for whatever reason get a track in Garageband to sound somewhat decent.

Also, how do you all make your drum tracks as well?

Hey man,

I've been having trouble linking scales on the fretboard and was wondering if maybe you could help me out with any tips on how to do so.

It's easy to learn a song and the notes in it but to actually write my own material is what I want to do. However I have no clue how to link scales together.

Thanks man wink.gif

Hi Trey. I actually grew up down the road from you in Gulfport. But Hurricane Katrina blew me to the extreme north of the state just south of Memphis. Later.

Sorry for late reply. I use a Jackson SLSMG. It's the same as Trond Vold's here.
