Hi ,
In this you proposed me to send me some of your sounds. That would be very cool, that way I can see how you got your sound.

Yep !
I've been using this setup for a while now : - Ibanez Jem 7DBK into a - Line 6 Toneport UX2 directly into - My Dual Core E6750, 3 gb RAM , 250 GB HDD with - Ableton Live 6 and the Real instrument addition - Guitar sound comes from Gearbox sofware ( or Podfarm ). This came with the Line6 UX2. - For drums / synth I have a Trigger Finger M-audio and Axiom 25 from M-audio. Now, I noticed that the sound I am getting from my guitar dont have the attack and power I want. I first thought it was my guitar. So I tried it with an Ibanez JCRG and A Cort. Still the same. So I was beginning to suspect my Line 6 was the problem. Briefly , I want to upgrade to something that will get me a good sound to record. I am pretty happy with my Computer , my recording software and the midi keyboard and stuff. What I would want to change is this : - The soundcard ( This is imo the biggest problem along with the software ? Someone correct me if I'm wrong ) - The software ( This is giving my me sound I dont like ? ) - I think about buying maybe the Addictive Drums ? So the whole problem here is around not being able to record a good sound... What do you guys use for recording ? What would you recommend ? ( Guitar rig 3 , Eleven , others ? ) I am open to other stuff to, I am in desperate need for help !

i guys,
I think about selling my Jem 7DBK for another guitar close to the 1500 $ line. I was thinking about an Ibanez S5470 But I dont know where to look for other ones. The Prestige Rg's are a bit too expensive and I dont know if these guitars are equal or better then my jem. ( Can any of you guys help me on this subject ? ) If anyone here got another guitar that's in that price range pls post it. I want a : -24 fret - Good Good tremelo system. ( I dont want any strings to break easily, good adjustment, stays in tune ) I also wanted to know if any of you have expierience with the guitar mentioned above ? How is this new tremolo system ( I never played it , only the old system on my Jem and JCRG 5-VV ) Thx for the input !

Hi guys,
I am Nick, I am 20 years old and I live in Belgium. I just found out about this site and decided to buy a subscription because I didnt find any sites as good as this one and the lessons here are amazing I currently study Psychology here in Belgium. I've been playing Classical guitar since I was 9 and when I turned 15 I started playing the electric guitar too. My main influences are Steve Vai, Joe Satriani,Muris Varajic, Dimitar Nalbantov and Marcel Coenen. These years that I practiced I mostly concentrated on playing covers of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani songs. I did some performances here and there but it was no big deal. When quiting secondary school I wanted to go to a pop and rock academy for electric guitar but it didnt exist in Belgium so I choose to study Psychology. Now I want to develop myself as a musician because I feel my end goal isnt making covers of people's songs but writing them. So I found this site So here it goes : HELLO GMC My rig : - Ibanez Jem 7DBK - Ibanez UV777 - Ibanez JCRG 5-VV - Line 6 Flextone II - Line 6 Toneport - Ableton Live For all of you interested here is a very very old video of me playing. I think I was 15 then, I uploaded it pretty recently. It is a little sweeping video. It's called Race against Time by Marcel Coenen. |
