Hey guys,

Guitar Rig Session is offered at a price of 150€ or $ (better buy it with $ though) and as my current sound card is pretty crappy (Creative Labs Audigy Platinium) I was thinking about replacing it with that.

What do you think ? Are you using that hardware ?

It's a prestige Ibanez :

I prefer the SV5470A in black : http://www.ibanezrules.com/euro/sv5470abkd.htm
But it seems they are not producing it anymore even though it's the 2009 model.

Perhaps some of you already tried or play one of those ? smile.gif

I checked reviews on the net and they are good. I will have to go to the local store and try it anyway but wanted your advices first.

Especially about the Tremolo and the Pickups. Are they good material ?

I am looking for a guitar without Floyd Rose, with versatile sounds and a good Tremolo.

I just came back from what's going to be the most beautiful guitars shop I ever see. Imagine a music shop of more than 2'000 square meters with around 500 sq.meters for guitars only and a wall full of 450 guitars on 6 different levels and 2 rooms for amp testings, the floor covered with amps and pedals. cool.gif

It's probably going to be the biggest music shop in Switzerland, and the good thing is that shop is 10 minutes from my home. biggrin.gif

It will be finished in about 2 weeks... can't wait to spend my Saturday afternoon there and test all the guitars ! smile.gif

Will post pictures as soon as I can get some.

After more that 5 years of use, I decided to clean the fretboard of my guitar. Let's say it was really dirty. I am showing you the result. I must say I am really happy with it ! biggrin.gif

Before :

After :

The tool is that, Steel Wool Grade 0000 which cost about $5 :

Please note a few things if you wanna do that :

#1 protect the part where the fretboard join the body because the steel wool is not very nice with the body paint wink.gif
#2 if possible, remove the pickups or cover them, pickups = magnets, steel = magnetic tongue.gif
#3 better do that in your garage or outside because it makes a lot of dirt in your keyboard and on your desk smile.gif
#4 don't use anything else than grade 0000 steel wool...

Hope this help.
