Humans have natural ability to recognize note ranges, and depending on the region, this ability has shifted to note ranges predominantly used in the region. When two or more of these groups met in time and place, they created fusion of these scales, and this is how music developed amongst other ways. Blues? smile.gif

It's a great scale! The cool think you can do is to bind three different pentatonics together for example:
If I'm playing over ii-v-I you can use pentatonics scale of vi- ii- iii
To make it easier say I'm playing over dmi-g7-cmaj7 I can use pentatonics: ami-dmi-emi

+1, playing both major and minor pentatonic on turnarounds represents one of the essentials of blues (and foundations of jazz).
