GMC! Welcome to a new musical collaboration!

This time we'll solo over a funky backing track. Yes, I'm feeling funky this week biggrin.gif

Basically it's all in Am, so you can use Am, Am pentatonic, A dorian, and the occasional passing notes from outside the scales are always welcome, just treat them as such!

On the second part, on the change, for one bar we'll use B diminished (that's the II chord on the key of Am) and that's it!

But you know YOURS EARS it's the most important factor!

You may use wah wah, effects, raw distortion, even clean. You can even create an arrangement instead of a solo.

Max. number of participants: 12

Attached File  Funky_walk.mp3 ( 1.13MB ) Number of downloads: 398

Deadline will be: january 30th / 2011

Looking forward for your takes!

Participants so far:

1. TylerT
2. K1R
3. Lester
4. quadrium
5.

No clue, how to play B diminished, but I think I'll figure it out.

I'll join! biggrin.gif

B half diminished would have the notes: B - D - F - A (or you can use full diminished playing Ab instead of A )

But you can stick to the Am scale too. Try both approaches and see which one feels better.
