I'm looking for a robust and good sounding Wah pedal. If possible with a true bypass. Any recommendations ? Thanks, Bluefinger

I think the entry Dunlop crybaby is a great choise. Holds forever, has great tone and runs on a single battery for a loooooong time.

I have the ibanez Weeping Demon, more settings and great sound and clever pedal activation but eats batteries like an aardwark lick up ants.

Not true bypass, but almost the same.

I have an original dunlop crybaby. Its works well but doesnt have the ability to adjust the frequency range which is something i would like. What's your budget because if you can go for more than just a crybaby then i would go for a crybaby535q.

It seems that the mentioned crybabies could be a good choice. I'll start checking out both because budget in this range is not an issue. Nevertheless, I heard (or read, don't remember where) that the Dunlops have mechanical problems. But I'll check.

I would recommend Dunlop crybaby 535q , very versatile unit! You will be pleased with it..Also should be very high quality one (and I doubt in those "mechanical" problems") smile.gif

I have 535q crybaby and warmly recommend it, packed with features. And it has a true bypass, even when it doesn't have batteries or DC power, it stills transmits the signal trough it.

Morley is probably easiest to use on stage,no push button, just step and play.

I never heard about Morley Wahs, but I saw that my local dealer has tons of different models. So I'll be there tomorrow to check. Interesting option. Thanks Muris.

I can suggest Vox wah, Clyde Mccoy wah, and Budda wah. Three awesome wah-wah pedals, just give them a try if you have the chance! Good luck mate.

Of course the dunlop are nice too, the morley is so nice, but more modern sounding.
Well you have just try as many as you can!

I have a Cry Baby and love it, but I also like Morleys, very easy to use as Muris already pointed out.

I´ve got a Dunlop CryBaby Wah. The rubberbuttons under the pedal which stop the pedal from moving are now in pieces. I played live and had to activate it and then it broke. The activation button is a bad thing, in my opinion. It doesn´t always go on which is bad for live playing. :S The good thing about the CryBaby is the sound - it´s really awesome. smile.gif
I´d personally go for a Morley or another wah pedal which you just step on and play. smile.gif

I played a lot of different pedals yesterday and finally decided to buy a Morley PWOV. It sounds as good as many others but its simplicity made the difference. I use the pedal quite frequently on stage so I think it was a good choice.

Thanks to all for your recommendations, BF
