GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Gym Tracks (both Running And Weights)

Posted by: dark dude Feb 17 2012, 03:26 PM

Just listening to some tracks and sorting my playlist before I head out to the gym, was wondering what tracks you guys use to get your blood pumping? smile.gif

I tend to use different songs whether I'm doing cardio (almost never in the gym, thank you football), or weights. For cardio, I need something of medium intensity to just distract me, as I'm not running at full pace. For weights, a set will only last a few seconds, so I need the maximum adrenaline rush ASAP.

I'm looking for some more, so what are your gym tracks? smile.gif

I've never listened to music whilst doing exercise.. it would just feel a bit too 'Rocky Balboa' for me ! wink.gif

Great topic!
I listen to all kinds of stuff when working out, from Death Metal to punk.
If you need a rush, you can't go wrong with Heaven Shall Burn:

My playlist is full of their songs. Arch Enemy is also great.

When it comes to weight training, I kinda like slow songs with an agressive beat, like this one:

I really wish Massive Attack would be a bit more agressive, this music would be perfect for pumping iron, at least for me smile.gif

Yeah Ben, sometimes I don't use music as I focus on the song more than the weights - but for the times I do... wink.gif

Sweet songs, will check them out when I get back - thanks Christian!

I don't actually do weight training. Yoga and cardio is all I need! Whenever I run, I have the tendency to listen to Demigod by Behemoth. Talk about an album that gets you pumped. Sometimes I listen to Tyr or Moonsorrow. I am going through a phase where I run with Infestus.
