I don't know too much about the other bands on God of War III but I was super excited to hear the singles by Opeth and Dream Theater.. only to be a little bit let down.. what is everyone elses opinion. I expected something super heavy from Opeth and what i got was an average accoustic track. And then on the other hand i thought the Dream Theater track was sick but just not.. very dream theater haha(it is awesome though). Thoughts.. opinions?

I've played both God of War I+II, great games!

The soundtrack to the 3rd game looks cool. But would rather try out the game itself smile.gif

All songs on the EP to this great game are great, except for the Opeth and Dream Theater ones^^

Trivium blasted out the heaviest song of their career, Killswitch Engage recorded a song for the EP that is much more Metal than Core and the other two songs by Taking Dawn and Mutiny Within are great Metal songs that fit the Ancient Greece theme very well!

And then there is a very uninspired Instrumental by Dream Theater and a song by Opeth that sounds like the worst b-side they had left...

Its music for a game soundtrack so yea probably not gonna do their best work..

I listen to most of it. Very average.. I dig it though.

Can't believe how much gaming industry has advanced, I mean, Dream Theater plays for video game.

That's awesome, I'm sure the games will be great with these new soundtracks. I've always liked games with famous soundtracks, they all sounded excellent.

The DT track was .. weird..
Sounds like something that was put together in less time than the song lasts.

I like the Opeth song (I love that band), but the DT song is not really my thing...
