Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Shuffle Rhythm & Solo by Sinisa Cekic

Hey, I´m back with a new recording. It´s a quick Take testing my new Webcam & Guitar Pedal. I know that the backing track is out of tune ;-) (just put new strings on) Recorded with Zoom G3, nice! Thank you for all your comments! Offa

Hey mate! I say this is not bad smile.gif I would take some more time to focus on the timing in general, at slow tempo, as for instance the lick at 0:36 needs more work. Indeed, there is a problem between your guitar and the backing in the lead part - so I guess you meant that the guitar is a bit out of tune because of the new strings, not the backing, right? biggrin.gif

This was a very good effort. You've got the basics right.. you just need to tweak the timing and get the licks much more comfortable.

I notice that you seem to have the most trouble with licks that change position quickly, like the sliding licks.

The riff from 0:31-0:33 is a bit dodgy - this needs some attention. Not quite sure what's going on here.. I think your fingers are not quite catching the notes due to the sudden position shift.

Just some minor issues really.. most of it was really good smile.gif

Very good guitar match to the genre smile.gif Nicely done basics but there is still some work to be done smile.gif I won't repeat what guys wrote. Haven't You think of Your tone being a bit too dark? It looses all the cool treble details that tele has in it's natural tone. It's not bad at all but I think You could rethink the tone matter. Well done smile.gif

Hi man! Nice video. I think that you already know the lesson now it's time to get the groove and go more with the rhythm. Both the rhythm part and the solo section need to be adjusted in that sense. Focus on timing and you'll master this one. Cheers.
