Hey Kris, I recently watched your lesson on speed picking, and as for the angle you say to hold the pick, should I be using this angle everytime I play anything? Or just for fast alternate picking?

Now this is debated topic - I believe most people angle their pick differently depending on what they are playing (I do that). Picking differently will give you different tones.

I guess I have 4-5 ways of angling the pick/picking - I am working on getting rid of one of them, which gives me problems when speedpicking. (I am sometimes using to much of the arm, instead of the wrist, for some runs). smile.gif

Why not the arm Kris? I know what you are saying, wrist more than arm. A lot of guitar gods use their arm. Example, Batio, as on"Speed Lives". His wrist stays somewhat fixed at speed.

yeah I noticed that theres a different tone with different angles too, so I guess it all depends on the style of what you're playing. Thanks for the answer smile.gif
