Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Bleez, good job with this lesson, you are on the right path with this one but there are still important things to improve regarding feeling and expression. You have to focus on:

(in order or importance)

- Bending: Your bends are not precise, sometimes you don't reach the correct pitch or doesn't sound consistent. Also, there are micro bends at 00:11 and 00:22 that are not sounding.

- Vibrato: Your vibrato technique is a bit weak on this one. Try to do more wrist movement when you play vibrato.

- Timing: This is not something serious but I note some timing issues when you play the octave chords. (around 00:15).

That's all, please work on this details and record a new version of this one.

Great stuff man. I got no real beef with this.. Gab's observations about the micro bending is most noticeable to me around the 0:22 but that's all I picked up on.

Nice Bathory shirt ! cool.gif

Hi,

A good one. But as the others already said you should focus more on precise bending and vibrato. Also try to make your playing a bit more soulful by adding more dynamics to your lines! Right now it sounds a bit lifeless.
Think more like a singer and not just a guitar player and your melodies will come to live, I'm sure. wink.gif
