Hi Alex. First of all thanks for helping out ! awesome, my goals are alternate fast picking ( dream theater style ) my weekness is alternate speed picking, my strongest points are sweeping and legato shredding. haha I don't really have favourite guitar players I love them all. ( Steve Lukather, John Petrucci,) but my best sounding hero is Marcus Lavendell, He was here a long time ago I think. Note : I haven't got a active subscribtion at GMC bacause I am underaged in my country for a credit card , won't mean I can't do lessons because I do most stuff by ear. because sometimes instructors use youtube that comes in handy for me. thank you for your time ! ps : my soundcloud filled with pink floyd for now : www.soundcloud.com/marc-thalen This post has been edited by snackajacks: Mar 28 2012, 08:17 PM -------------------- |

oh and before I forget, my weakest point is theory I guess, I would love to know how
to improvise on progressive metal. When I try to do it now I just try every note and if that note sounds right I write it down to find out the scale. But can't find the logic haha. -------------------- |

Great! I am very excited to start working with you!
I have a backing track for you! Here it is: http://soundcloud.com/alex-feather-akimov/guitar First I would like to give you some hands workout exercises those will develop your alternative picking technique very fast!!! The trick is to practice those at a very slow tempo and get your hands connected! It is very important to master mechanical exercises you will get great results and will see progress very very fast! E ||---------------------------|----------------------------------------| Here is GP5 file!
Hands_workout.gp5 ( 4.5K )
Number of downloads: 25Please let me know if you have any questions! I am looking forward to hear your thought about the exercises!!! They're really work! -------------------- |

This backing track will be used for your future assignments!
For this exercise you should use metronome only! Sorry I didn't make myself clear! I am preparing arpeggio connections assignment for you mixed with alternative picking! It is gonna be very very fun and challenging! -------------------- |

sorry to let you wait so longg. Im more back then ever
that picking excercise worked very well. But it takes really a lot of time to learn it without watching the tab. as you noticed I tried to learn all the fretnotes because I hear all these guitarist say that it is really important. Further I have been busy with my progressive metal band : https://www.facebook.com/Infinutum And I just finished my ending exam for high school. Sooo yesss. Im ready for a new excercise Alex -------------------- |
