Sweden always was prominent in metalurgy and has a long history of it so my vote goes to swedish steel being top quality!

In fact in the last decade Russian metallurgists were the best in the world, considering the process was automatized in most of the modern world already.

well, Germans are doing a great job on Metal, very professional and very efficient! as we can expect for Germans. anyway, my vote is for Sweden. Swedish sounds is really brutal and very unique!

Finland is too big in Metal production to keep it out from the pool. Finns are extremely good!

I assume you mean which countries are currently producing metal. In that case we can drop the UK from the list, as it has been a while since any good metal has came out of there. Scandinavian metal is great but its not as diverse as German or American metal. Since I am on GMC and live in the US I can't really vote for either one. So that narrows it down to Germany and Bali. Bali's got plenty of babes but no metal, and Germany got plenty of babes and plenty of metal. So Germany is my final vote smile.gif

I don't really listen to a lot of new metal bands because I'm either A/ boring or B/ they just don't do it for me like the classic bands do. So going by the most recent albums released by the 'greats' I'm going with the US, because Metallica & Megadeth's last albums have impressed me far more than Maiden & Priest. Come on UK !!!!

But having said that, you gotta love Germany, nobody does it like them !!

Have to say the US currently. The Sword, Allegaeon, Revocation, Warbringer, Between The Buried And Me, Trivium, and a good deal more of newer bands that are consistently stepping up their games and surpassing themselves or bringing something fresh sounding.

I voted for Sweden, they are awesome, and IMO best metal scene a country can have. US is good, but if we compare all the factors, Sweden rocks! smile.gif \m/
