I enjoyed this video from the beginning to the end... not only the clip is very well done, his chops sound very fresh to me. I feel this as a piece of music instead of just a player showing his skills. It's a very inspirational track. The only comment that I would do regarding the production is that I loved the moment that starts at 1:59 at the video, I would have added more parts like that.

Very cool stuff! Looks like it may have been shot with a DSLR which is a big trend now. The New DSLR cams all shoot full HD at 24p and with good glass they look amazing. Far better than what you could get shooting with a Digital Video camera. To get similar quality you'd have to spend huge money or rent a RED or something similar.

I noticed sometimes when he used legato he took his right hand and crossed it over his left to the head of the guitar. i also have seen other players do this. I am curious as to why people do that ?

Yeah I first saw Joe Satriani doing this. It looks a lot more clever and involving than it actually is. What they're doing with the right hand is just holding the neck and using the underside of their hand to lightly mute the strings so the left hand can play big legato patterns that cross strings without extra string noise. It would be a bit like putting some string damper near the nut end smile.gif

I used to think they were actually playing notes with the right hand but no, it's just damping the strings.
