I mean at first I had to figure it out but I don't remember ever having problems with it once I got past a little learning hump. I have some trouble also there. Something that has been working is that if already bend thinking that I will make the vibrato I can do it. Vibrato when bending - I can't do it yet. But I managed to produce something very close .. ((I think it's easier to use the whammy bar for vibrating bent notes..)) We just have to keep practicing! Licks ending with a bend, starting with a bend, including bends everything!. Just try to develop your strength because with strength comes options. You do not want to be limited in your creations.
