Hazardous Hobbies ? Options

I managed to sprain my wrist at Karate last night, which as you all know, is not going to be beneficial to playing the guitar !

So, I wondered how many of you have hobbies, jobs or some other activity which sometimes puts you at risk of injury.. but you still do it because you either love it or you have to ?

This is more some kinda new art that has come up.

lost of jumps over and roll over reminds me of my Ninjutsu training

Yes, it's quite a misunderstood art. You need good upper body strength with endurance legs. Leg's are also trained to be in sync and with precision jumping. You notice most people lead with one leg as they jump, we jump and plant with both while mantaining balance with the upper body, then normally relax rolling into the shoulder to take off the impact.

Nope, lol, when I was 13, attempted to flip off a friend's one story house roof onto a tramp. After the bounce off the tramp your spos to jump and roll onto the ground, however I misjumped and just went splat! I broke my tibus leg bone doing this stuff.

I still have a love for all extreme sports!

I had to read it a few times before I realised you didn't mean you tried to jump onto a homeless guy !



Wow, these gun phots are such a massive culture shock to someone from the UK.. I've never even seen things like that in real life ! If I ever come to visit any of you, I'll phone ahead just so you know it's me at the door and not a burglar !

The name of that 12 gauge cracks me up, its called the Mossberg "Persuader" I can just imagine what a TV advert would sound like, "The Persuader... for when verbal warnings aren't enough."

My choice of ammo depends on what I'm using it for. When I'm at the indoor ranges I like to use 3 inch magnum slugs and/or 00 buckshot, for two reasons:

1- To get accustomed to the MASSIVE recoil - if I can handle that I can handle anything
2- The sound concussion is so enormous everybody stops what they're doing. This is done usually in retaliation to the dude in the adjacent lane with the high caliber revolver... "Whose is bigger now bitch?! ...bahahaha!!" Yes, I'm an enormous ass. I denounce and reject myself

For those not living in the states. You don't need a license or anything to shoot guns on a range. You can shoot pretty much anything anybody hands you which is great and one of the wonderful things about the states So usually when you go shooting with buddies, you swap guns and try everything at least once.

If we invite our European buddies over we might have get a defibrillator, just in case Ben has a heart attack... we wouldn't want to loose him Who else will provide us with his quick British wit that we all love?
