Hi guys!

Welcome to my third student instructor lesson here at GMC. This time I decided to do a series of lessons based on german bands. To get started I chose a band you all know, however, in the next lessons I will introduce you to some bands that are famous in german-speaking countries but I guess hardly anyone outside these countries will know these bands.
This lesson is based on Rammstein's song "Ohne Dich", a great ballad with the best Rammstein lyrics, period. But that's just my opinion. The song and this lesson are in Drop D tuning, therefore it can be played with two fingers, so it is a lesson for starters. It is also good if you want to impress your friends and tell them you can teach them a Rammstein song in no time smile.gif Try it, it will work.
Nothing complicated in this lesson, if you have any question, feel free to ask!
Looking forward to read your feedback, and if you know a german band and want to have a lesson in their style, just ask.
Christian

Great lesson smile.gif The only thing I would change is to raise the level of your voice on the videos. It's just a bit quiet. Maybe talk louder or "fix it in post"? The content of the lesson was great smile.gif And the videos are high quality and helpful. Well done! You RAWK!

Ben, impressing girls is one of the top reasons for playing guitar, right? wink.gif

So, if anyone wants to request a lesson based on the style of a german band, just do it!

The only other German band that I know of that probably aren't known outside of Germany is Boeshe Onkelz... not sure what people's opinion of them is though....?? unsure.gif

They are a great band, Ben, awesome live shows. But unfortunately, the (uninformed) public never bothered to really study the bands background and their music since 1985, but just remembered their first album which was released when these guys were 18 and confused...
The Onkelz broke up in 2005 and their mastermind Stephan Weidner is respected as a solo artist now...weird stuff. I could go on for days, all I can say is they are worth checking out and I might do a lesson in their style, but I have some other bands on my list first smile.gif

Yes I do have a couple of their albums somewhere... I think they were quite controversial in Germany because of their early days and could never quite shake it off.
