Hey guys.

Well it's taken almost fifteen years but I'm finally going to sit down and learn me some guitar! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and getting into my favourite instrument with you all.

Welcome Londinium! There are two great video chats today & hope you can make one or both. There is so much to learn here. I'm curious, though. "Long Time Newbie" & "it's taken almost fifteen years"? Does that mean you are 15 yo or you've had the guitar 15 years & not done much with it? You have come to the right place. Best instructors & best guitar community ever! smile.gif

Definitely closer to the latter, Blister. I'm 28 and I was looking to learn the guitar "at some point" since I was 13 and then was given an acoustic for my 21st birthday. I've toyed with/played around with learning it but it always ended up being put on the back burner. Then a producer friend of mine bought be a USB electric this week and essentially told me to learn so he could have me play on his tracks! biggrin.gif

Hey man! smile.gif Never too late, don't worry, you'll get into it very soon. Just keep it focused and learn the basics right. Not sure where you started, but Bear's Beginner Series or my Pentatonic Workshop Series can quickly get you up-to-level with the basics.
