I thought about it when i was buying my delay pedal but back than it was pretty expensive for me so i got my DigiDelay and now that i think about it i don't even need anything bigger/better.

Well it runs on 6 AA batteries. I used the battery option only once in a studio, so I don't really know the answer to that one. THe best option is always on AC power since all delays are digital and suck batteries. DD6 also sucks 9V batteries, DD3 too. I've had DD3 and that thing really needed AC power.
