I am just unsure on how the walking bass line 2 lesson is in the key of c. If the first note is an A how is it in the key of C?

Hello , I have replied to you in the lessons feedback and then saw this topic...Here is the copy of what I wrote there:
This is the progression (chords) of the tune : Dm - G - C - Am - F - Em - G - C - Am - Dm If you take the C major scale and harmonize it (build chords over each note of the scale) you would get these chords (in the key of C): C - Dm - Em - F - G - Am - G - Bdim As you can see , I used all the chords except the last one in the progression. You don't neceserally have to start a song on the I (first chord in the key) and in practice many songs don't but you can always hear a sense of resolvent when you get to that I chord in the progression. Check out this lesson about harmonizing: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/misc-less...ng-major-scale/ And also this topic about how to determine the key: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...?showtopic=3160 Hope this helps a little!
