Yo!

As a new member, It might be to early for me to "complain" about stuff here. And you're right - I won't. wink.gif

Thing is - I love this place, and as I learn something new every day, you won't get rid of me that easy. Joke aside I have some requests. I'm mostly into punk/hardcore/surf/garage, and would love to see more lessons in those styles of music.

Can you do that?

Punk - from Ramones via Zero Boys and Bad Religion to more modern stuff certainly has its place here, and it's nice that other people than me appreciate that. Thanks for the replies you gave me folks, and teachers keep up the good work!

And I certainly got some good input as well.

Yeah its interesting how the Ramons had such basic techinique and skill, yet they have been cited as a major influence for many bands over the years because they broke the mold.

Just goes to show that complexity aside, having a memorable song hook that listeners can easily remember, is a good formula for a song.

I still remember playing "Blitzkrieg Bop" at a high school assembly about 20 years ago - I was a drummer back then

Even some seasoned guitarists would struggle banging out the 16 note _downstrokes_ that Johnny Ramone did. 2000 + gigs, faster than anything and tighter than tightest.

Amazing guitarist imho.

I would also love to see some surf music lessons here smile.gif Rock on \m/

Dick Dale is the man. Would love some lessons by him! There's a cool version of his song Pipeline on YT. Him and Stevie Ray Vaughan together. A tad eighties perhaps (check out Dick's hairdo in the vid), but quality!
