What are your Top 3 favorite ballads? I say Top 3 becuase it would be impossible to choose just one
1. Johnny Winter - Stranger - http://www.metacafe.com/watch/538532/johnn...r_in_this_town/ (the studio version is much better btw) Excellent vocals, sound, solo and specially the chord progression. 2. Iron Maiden - Strange World - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=V4gj67WLmE4 Extremely beautiful solos. The bass is also AMAZING!!! 3. Iron Maiden - Prodigal Son - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QUsibOlkt-o Sort of a happy acoustic tune, I just love it. This is the most fun song to play that I know of -------------------- |

I would have to say Journey, I think... Sorry, but they're the masters of ballads. As for favorite songs, probably Don't Stop Believing and Separate Ways. I have other songs I might put down, but "ballad" can be interpreted way differently between people...

So many to choose from but I'll go with:
Poison - Every Rose Has it's Thorn....has a bit of sentimental value from when I was a kid GNR - November Rain....was the first song my B/F and I ever danced to Cinderalla - Don't Know what You got 'till it's gone.....no reason really just love that song. Edit: as an honorable mention the Celine Dion song from Titanic "My Heart will go On"....the women can sing and that song is just beautiful.
