Pc And Guitar Options

Hi friends,
I need your help.

I use a lot my pc when playing guitar. I started recording my video for GMC REC program, I connect my POD, I see the GMC lesson video using My Speed, that slow down the speed of the video and so on.
In terms of computer, for me is like cars: have been driving without problems for 25 years but if I open the bonnet it does not make any sense to me.
Now, I am using a "business tailored" pc (you know, to run Office, Remote Desktop and other business utilities). What should I look for making it more "guitar friendly"? A sound card? Checking how much RAM? It doesn't need to be professional configured (I play just for my self as hobby in the spare time)

Any help will be really appreciated
