Backingtrack sounds awesome, but I don't think my playing is good enough for this.

Hey man, I don't expect shred or fast playing , you can do a slow take too (bluesy or something)...Also one solo with less notes and lots of high bends would be great...I suggest giving it a go anyway to see what you can get. Also if your not into solos you can do something to enhance the rhythm guitar... smile.gif

Ok, I think I will give it a try. Maybe I come up with something decent.
Hm just one more question. I am not that in theory yet, What exactly does 'In the key of A' mean? Can I play a pentatonic with A as its rootnote?

That's right you can play that one ! I'm holding the A power chord most of the time (root note + perfect 5th) so there lots of room for improv..In the end of each section I do a break going - C - G and than back to A (all power chords). So I recommend emphasizing those breaks (C and G) by landing on their strong notes when they happen (best guess will be use of root or perfect 5th of those power chords).Just start a phrase with that strong note when the change in backing occurs and your solo should fit in nicely...Jam around with the backing a little to see how its going for you...These collabs are all for fun in the end! smile.gif

I'll give this a try! (my first collab)
I'm gonna go for a slightly bluesy solo cuz I'm not good enough (for now biggrin.gif ) to play all out shred stuff!

I would do it, but if you put in my terrible playing it would ruin the whole thing. sad.gif

I spelled my username wrong...I didn't even think that was possible!

Look at the topic for my guitar...
Finished Guitar Build

Gear:
Homemade strat (You still need to look at its topic!)
Squier strat (probably going to get rid of it and get another guitar instead) :)
Line 6 spider amp (not actually used for anything, just acts as a speaker)
Digitech Gnx2 (kind of old, but cheap, and sounds amazing!)
