would it be possible to study theory without a guitar because im in the proccess of leasrning the pentatonics. I get the general idea of the boxes and know where they are so should i skip to the next lesson?

But this is the perfect excuse to go out and get another one - GAS - Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. I have 5, and want a few more still. If you have to answer to another, such as a wife, nows your opportunity.

In all seriousness - I would spend the time learning the Theory stuff - Not having a guitar in hand may actually help you concentrate on it without distractions.
