Hey,
I would at least get a better soundcard or an external audio processor (providing that yours doesn't do the job now). And with better I don't mean an expensive homecinema type soundcard with dolby 7.1. output but one designed to record instruments. These are usually built to insure low latency whilst recording (the delay between the input being processed and the output). Nothing is more frustrating than recording with a delay which makes multi track recording almost impossible due to timing issues. I myself use an external audio processor called fast track from M-audio because I have a laptop. Payed like 99 euro for it at the time but it's been worth my while. I often combine this with the built in webcam from my laptop to record some metal madness hehe. Another good thing about these audio processors is that they take some of the load of the PC's processor. Good luck with your search. This post has been edited by DevilsWolf: Apr 8 2012, 03:28 PM |
