Just a small bug report...

If you login with correct username and wrong password, you get an "Incorrect username" screen, which is misleading.
Also, if you login with blank password field, you get a "17" screen biggrin.gif

I find that to be pretty common. The idea, from a security standpoint, is that if someone is trying to crack someone's account by putting in multiple user id's and passwords (a technique called brute force, btw), the bad guy won't be able to tell if he had the user id or password wrong. He then has to spend more time trying to figure out the correct combination.

I would suggest to the site admins that the wording on the page be changed to "Incorrect username or password" and ensure that any login failures redirect to that page. Currently, you get different pages, depending on whether or not you enter a correct username, and that will just help the bad guys.

So basically you want to be able to tell the scale generator to show the 3rd 5th and b7 in the key of A (random example) - do I understand you?

Should be doable!

Sorry Kris, I should have responded much earlier.... yes!! Basically, in an Am Pentatonic/blues/Dorian etc. the "C" note would read as a "b3", etc.

That option would help me, personally, in my current quest of unlocking fretboard knowledge. All of our paths, and interpretations are different, but I'm sure others could benefit from this upgrade, if possible.

And....I cannot thank you enough for this site, and all of the constant effort to listen to the feedback of your users and constantly upgrade the site!! I love being a part of this community!!

These bugs should now be fixed!

Great - we will use this feedback for future tweaks of the scale generator!

How about the embeds? Is it still that you use partial URL for youtube but full URL for soundcloud? If so, can we pick one method for all embeds?

The easiest way for embedding Youtube stuff would be copy-pasting the full embed code from youtube into the post.

Does this mean that it would just be a link? Because I find it real nice to have the video window still inside the forum post rather than opening another tab.

Also I just noticed that I can move my bookmarks to different folders. Before I had to delete the bookmark & re-add it (which I haven't done in a while). Was this always the case that I was just doing wrong or is it a recently added improvement?

And thanks to all the admins who work so hard keeping this site running so smoothly. I never notice any problems & that is intended to be a huge compliment to those who work so hard behind the scenes! smile.gif

Yes - when watching the youtube clip, click "Share" and then "Embed" and you will get a code which you just need to copy-paste here in the forum and the clip will be embedded and playable directly (video window inside a post).

We have recently upgraded bookmarks feature and among other stuff, moving bookmarks around the folders was improved.
