I'm still thinking about how to make a little vid regarding this topic - I think you can also check the parts in the vivaldi lesson for this idea as they treat the same subject and they are being shot in slow tempo as well. I'll shoot a vid with that exercise and I hope it'll help smile.gif

In the mean time, what say you about this one?

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Popeye_The_Sailor_Theme/

biggrin.gif This dude is a friend of mine from Romania tongue.gif

Cosmin

About the video, I think if you shoot the mixolydian exercise first at a slow tempo showing clearly how to stop unwanted noise and then repeat it with a fast tempo it would be amazingly helpful! One would first see how it is done and then also hear how it is supposed to sound..

About the lesson, yea smile.gif I will learn it and post it here smile.gif Although I shouldn't make a REC post of it just yet because it will lower my average lesson difficulty tongue.gif

Hey Cosmin,

In case you are wondering what I've been up to I am posting a video from a part of my practice session for the lesson you gave me. This is the first time I am practicing the most difficult parts up to tempo. I think within a week I will have a full REC take of this ready smile.gif

Here we go

Hi Mert! Great man! This lesson may sound funny, but it's not easy at all to tackle biggrin.gif

I think you are faring very good aside from that ascending run which needs more slow practice wink.gif you know which one biggrin.gif the one with ascending intervals and there's also the one around min 02.48 smile.gif

Maybe slowing things down a bit will help? biggrin.gif Don't rush bro, k?

Hehehe! I told Marius I recommended this one to a skilled picker here - that's you tongue.gif

I think you are on the right way man! Just a bit more cleaning up and it's yours to bag wink.gif

In the mean time, I suggest we keep things running and go for the next one, what say you? biggrin.gif

Hmmm smile.gif the new lesson by Muris is challenging me biggrin.gif I can play each shape up to tempo individually but then I can't play the whole thing up to tempo because my picking hand gets too tense and tired ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif I may need to practice this slowly and take some time...

Exactly man! Try to link the pieces at a slow tempo and THEN gradually work the speed up - a good technique which you should pay attention to, is visualizing what you have to play next at the slow tempo - this will build up A LOT of confidence when the tempo increases, as you will be aware of WHERE your fingers will go in the next bars wink.gif

Hey Cosmin,

Just so you know what I am up to, I am uploading my take for the C minor picking etude at 130bpm.. It is not perfect but I will upload faster and more accurate takes in the coming days.. Hopefully I will be done with this up to tempo soon smile.gif

While playing each shape I am trying to think of the next shape I will play as you recommended.
