Guys....I utterly have NO WORDS to describe what i have seen and heard last night at the B'estfest Festival in Bucharest.

I went for Skindred and Meshuggah...Skindred was cool ...

...but Meshuggah...from the very minute when I heard the guitar tone at the soundcheck, I realized it will be a crushing experience.

They are NOT HUMAN! The sound and the performance was FLAWLESS to the last note...

You MUST see Meshuggah at least once in your lifetime smile.gif

Meshuggah are BEYOND INSANE and the Drummer Thomas Haake is just NUTS. These guys really Reinvented the Steel, IMHO. They are pretty under rated here in the states which is too bad.

Meshuggah is a shining example of true originality, unable to be copied.

The 'djent' thing can try as they might, but no one can riff like these guys.

No One.

Well, to me, it seems that in the states the market is larger for rock/ metal music somehow - am I dead wrong?

yes you are Mister C. metal in the Sates is dead and buried. Todd last saturday told us that many famous bands members (like Canibal corpse) had a formal job..sad but true...the metal scene is almost dead in this part of the world... if you are planning to come to America quit the guitar and start practicing your rap chops biggrin.gif

BTW Messugah sounds great, very tigh, that drummer is a beast.... but i don´t like gutural voices all the time.

well, for me Cannibal Corpse was never a favorite tongue.gif but c'mon, there are bands which are faring pretty good and they are not as famous as Cannibal Corpse, no? Slipknot may not be too good of an example, but they play metal and they make money out of it smile.gif
