When I import a Midi track into Reaper how do I assign a Drum Kit to the Drum Track?
Anyone know of any decent FREE Drum Plugins that will work? Thanks Guys!! I am getting really frustrated with all this stuff and not being able to figure it out for myself!! -------------------- aka The Lone Drifter, why? Because he says so, that's why!!

2 ways to do this:
1. Just drop your drum VST into the FX loop for the track with the midi on it 2. Create a separate track for the VST, and use the routing button to route the midi from your original track to the VST I prefer the second because it alows me to have multiple mid tracks talking to a single drum kit. As for free drum synths - sorry, I can;t help, but don;t you have NI Komplete? If so, you can use Kontact or Battery as a drum plugin. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Thanks Andrew!
I was trying it as per explanation 1 but getting no sound. I was trying with one called DSK DrumZ AcoustiK. I'm not sure how to do the 'Routing' thing! No, I've not got Komplete. I have Kontact and Kore, but not a glimmer of a clue how to use them!! I'm a bit 'All the Gear but no Idea' when it comes to all this stuff!!! Kore Player OK, I'm D/L'ing the M-Drum now. I have Kore, I just don't know how to make it work!! It's in my list of VST's but it doesn't make any noises!! -------------------- aka The Lone Drifter, why? Because he says so, that's why!!
