Watching the sun goes down is an awesome experience. because, the island was actually a vulcano that has been split and the colour of the walls (of the caldera) is red. Imagine a red sunset on that, in combination with the typical white houses with blue roofs and windows, built against the crater and you'll understand why this is deffinitely one of the most romantic places on this planet. Honestly, it's breathtaking !!!!!!!!! Believers say that Santorini is actually Atlantis as told in the story by Plato. You can visit Akrotiri, a city that was completely buried by a vulcano eruption in the Minoan era. Some historical believers say that part of the island (and Akrotiri) sunk into the sea and rests now beneath under the bodem, .... Atlantis. So Santorini is a very mythical place to be. Besidaes that, there is a lot of fun and great beaches. I never heart of the Black Rock studio but considering the environment and the concept op the studio it must be something like musical heaven on earth. Joe Bonamassa named his album "Black Rock" as a tribute and honour to the studio. I have that CD in my car and listen to it very frequently. I'm a Bonammassa fan and also adore his work with THE BLACK REVOLUTION, a great band with singer Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) and Bonham, the son of late GREAT GREAT Led Zeppelin drummer. Be sure to check them out. If you like solid, cool, old school with an experimental flavour hard rock and blues riffs, these guys are AWESOME.
