You would be surprised how many great players use Line 6 amps! Both Rhapsody guitarists use HD147 heads - and they have the money to get a good gear so i don't think they bought it just like that! Kamelot guitarist also uses that amp and he has a killer sound - power metal band! Evanescenes guitarist also plays it and he is known by his heavy riffing stuff so i think it's a very good amp!

They use Line 6 cause Line 6 is paying for that cool.gif
Joke but has some truth inside...
By the way,no need to look that much what somebody else uses,
just try the amp and see if you like it.
But there's a huge difference between all tube and solid state amps, that's for sure. smile.gif

I can't try it because there is no guitar center in Croatia which has lot's of amps! Especially not Line 6! Rhapsody doesn't get paid for that because they use all custom gear by that Capelli guy from France! I am just trying to find out what the big deal behind: "Tube is better than Solid State" if Line 6 has such great names using their amps!

Thanks folks! smile.gif

MisterJ,regarding to my live tone,Prophesy has one(1) 12AX7 tube but Mesa 2 : 90 has three(3) 12A7 tubes in preamp and eight(8) 6L6 tubes in amp section.
If we calculate that, there are 12 tubes smile.gif

didnt see the mesa in there.. ill have to go back to your website. anyway, great tone. great everything.

i bought a line 6 spider 100 watt head last year, and i ended up returning it. lots of stuff sounds good on record, but when you play it, it may not respond to the nuances of your playing style the way you expect. tubes just respond in a totally different way than solid state. better or worse is a matter of opinion. i prefer tubes because i like the way they respond. they seem very warm and ... well... responsive. they kind of play with you. i actually consider my amps almost as much of an instrument as the guitar. solid state doesnt seem to respond to my playing at all. they feel dead and cold. but hey- thats jusst my opinion. solid state has its place, im sure. ive just never found one that stacked up to tubes. but again - its all opinion.

I really like "A story from eastern europe" It gives me this epic feel kinda similar to when I listen to the song "Liberty" by Steve Vai.
