Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Zeppelin Black Riffing by Adrian Figallo

I've been working on this one off and on since it was posted. I still hear some issues with my take but thought I would submit it anyway since I could use some tips. Thanks for having a look.

Great take - really nice tone too smile.gif

The only bit that sounded a little off was that micro bend in the main riff, for example at 0:26. What's happening is you're bending it too far too quickly. You want to play it so the note starts at it's normal pitch (unbent) and then is bent fractionally up. You need to get that 'low to high' sound. At the moment it's more like 'high to low' if that makes sense ? smile.gif It's nothing major but if you can nail those micro bends it'll really make these riffs authentic !

I like your tone and you did a good job learning and practicing this lesson!
Your timing needs more work you are slowing down and playing way too behind the beat
My suggestion would be to practice with a metronome at a slow tempo and try to play on the beat!
Actually I just did a lesson that will perfectly explain how to work on your timing and it shows the difference between playing on/behind/ahead of the beat!

Overall you did pretty good! And if you will spend a little bit more time with this lesson it will be perfect!

Hi friend! Great and rocker tone! As the other instructors said, you still have to adjust some micro bends and make your timing even tighter to get a perfect lesson.
