Where To Start?

Jan 5 2009, 10:55 AM	GMC:er Posts: 6 Joined: 5-January 09 From: Japan	I have some experience playing the guitar. I am mostly self taught and took lessons for a short time. I am having difficulty figuring out what I should learn next to better my playing. I can play all my major and minor chords and know how to play the C scale (in different positions). I have been mostly learning how to play songs I like (that aren't too difficult) using guitar pro and power tab. What lesson should I start off on and move on to afterwards? The story of rhythm vs solo for me is that I started to learn guitar around 2001. I have been on and off when it comes to playing. When I got to the point where I can play songs, it was all just rhythm. I want to move beyond that and with the internet (especially youtube), I watch a lot of people soloing and shredding and tell myself, "I want to do that!" I also love songs with guitar solos.
