In this Quick Licks, we continue looking at "Sweep/Arp" style licks. This one is what I call a "HalfPeggio" since it's an arpeggio through only one octave instead of two. It traverses half the strings, instead of all of them. It's a good way to work on your sweep picking and your overall sweep/arp technique. You can pick it any way that works for you, honestly play it any way that works for you. I notate my picking in the first bar to let you see how I'm doing it. I added the Tab at the end of this video (first time trying this).

NICE!! Another great example of taking the lick and doing something cool with it. I really hope folks take this to heart and grab these licks and do something spiff with them smile.gif Well played and creatively done. I hope I get to hear you doing this type of thing in an upcoming collab!! in other words you just...

Sorted! smile.gif You did leave out a note for several loops but during the last bit, you put the note back in. It's the 10th fret B string played on the way back down to the starting note. Still, we can just call it a Mod as it still sounds cool and still works as a lick. That's the point of quick licks after all, to try to quickly add a lick to your bag of tricks!! Spending too much time on quick licks is almost counter productive as they are meant to be "quick". As such, getting the main idea of the lick is the thing and you've got it I wanted to create a simple sweep lick that people who don't normally play sweep licks could actually play. Congrats you played it!!! To wit, you just..

BINGO!! smile.gif That's it exactly. You've got it. It's a bit tougher to play just making one slight change. This one is a bit tricky to start with due to the pinky bit at the end since it's so far away from the rest of the lick, one has to make the jump and stick the landing. You stick it just fine! Congrats there smile.gif
