This one is working perfectly, thanks! It's awesome how fast you improved your timing for this lesson. This new video is much more precise than the previous one. There is still some very little room to make it even tighter but the improvement is dramatic. Well done!!

I was thinking that we would start with a small routine covering some basic metal topics like Alternate Picking, legato, bending and vibrato. And also add a second rhythm lesson to avoid getting bored of playing the same one all the time. What do you think?

Gab,
update
working on picking arpeggios, and ran in to a brick wall.. the g#9 chord having major problems with it, so i been working on just that chord for now trying to stretch my hand and picking each note, i can get the notes if i let up may pinky finger but i can't hold the chord and sound clean.

also working on modern metal tune and came across a problem with the C6add9 chord i can't get my pinky finger to bar across the g string (d note) sounds like crap. i guess i have to strengthen my hand by plugin away at it..

Hi mate, you have to be patient with these chords shapes. One good exercise is to just make the chord position with your left hand and keep on the guitar for some seconds. It doesn't matter if you play, you just have to practice the stretch. Keep it for some seconds / minutes, every day and you'll feel comfortable with it soon.

Hi mate! Well done! I think that there are just some details to improve on this one. The overall is very good. It's time to polish your timing on on some sections like the first riff (legatos are not tight), that cut at 00:32 and the octave chords starting at 00:40. All those parts could be played tighter. Also I think that you are not still comfortable with the 9th chords, keep on playing them. Remember to just keep the position for some minutes every day.

Finally I would like to add that your right hand is too rigid while you play these riffs and I think that it could be more relaxed and aggressive. to make this one sound groovier, and more dynamic.

Hi friend! Thanks for this video. It's going ok, but it still needs some adjustments. The main difference with the original take is rhythm. As there isn't drums marking tempo, it becomes more difficult to play this one tight so I recommend you to practice the lesson over the main video to follow the instructor's rhythm.

Besides the timing issue, there are some bends that don't reach the correct pitch and some notes which doesn't sound clean. So, also pay attention to this when you continue practicing.

That's all! It's great to see you working hard! smile.gif

Hi man! I'm glad to know that you are enjoying this journey! smile.gif

I checked your take on legato lesson and it needs to be reviewed because the rhythm used is different compared with the original lesson. Could you please re-check it and tell me if you find the difference?

Hi friend! I happy that you are working on this lesson. It will help a lot to improve your playing. There are some important things that you have to focus while you continue practicing this lesson:

-Vibrato: Your vibrato is weak yet. When you use your ring finger, you can help it with fingers index and major. I think that you shoud give a try to this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bens-Vibrato-Odyssey-5/ . It includes a musical piece but also important explanations to master vibrato technique.

- Timing: There are many timing issues in the lesson, but don't feel bad, it's a difficult lesson to play tight because it doesn't include drums. My suggestion is that you practice it over the main video to be sure that you are playing the licks with the same rhythm.

- Bending: Your bends aren't consistent and most of the times don't reach the correct pitch. Check the first exercise of this video and incorporate it into your diary practice:

That's all! Let me know if you have any thoughts to share about this.
