My computer has a virus. It's called win defender. At first it made loads of pop-ups try and convince me I had a load of other viruses and I should buy some software to get rid of them.

I ran McAfee and it removed a lot of stuff and I'm not getting the pop-ups anymore. However, when I am browsing sites (sites that I know there are no problems with like google and facebook and GMC) it occasionally comes up in my internet explorer saying the site is potentially bad and I should buy win defender. So to an extent the virus is still there, just in my internet explorer.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this virus totally? I looked on some sites and they recommend downloading stuff to remove it, but I don't know which of those sites are legitimate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Muris' and Emir's tour gave me an idea. Perhaps we could have a GMC Gig Calendar where everyone who is in a band (or solo) can enter the details of where and when their gigs are. The calendar could have a filter by country feature and it would help GMC members to support each other live.

What does everyone else think?

Hi Pavel,

I have a question about fingering in the 6th video of your Shreddy Rock Trip Solo Lesson.

When moving a 3 note pattern upwards like:

E------------------------
B------------------------
G------------------------
D------------------------
A--6--8--9--8--9--11--
E------------------------

Do you recommend doing the fingering like

1-3-4-1-3-4

or

1-2-3-2-3-4

where

1. Index finger
2. Middle finger
3. Ring finger
4. Little finger

BTW I love the riffs in this lesson biggrin.gif

Many thanks for any help.

I was one of the lucky few to see Led Zeppelin's one off reunion gig last night.

Here is the set list:

‘Good Times Bad Times’
‘Ramble On’
‘Black Dog’
‘In My Time Of Dying’
‘Your Life’
‘Trampled Under Foot’
’‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’
‘No Quarter’
‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’
‘Dazed And Confused’
‘Stairway To Heaven’
‘The Song Remains The Same’
‘Misty Mountain Hop’
‘Kashmir’
‘Whole Lotta Love’
‘Rock And Roll’

So were they any good?
In a word: yes.

You wouldn't have thought for an instant that Page, Plant and Jones are all in their 60s. They were full of energy, passion and most importantly rock and roll.
The band was shockingly tight and it was clear they were all really enjoying themselves.

Page: Yes, the old fingers are most definitely still working. Jimmy was on fire for ‘In My Time Of Dying’ and ‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’.
For ‘Dazed And Confused’ he brought out his violin bow and immersed himself in a huge sound-scape solo.

10 out of 10. A legendary concert from a legendary band.

If anyone wants to know any specifics just ask and I'll try my best to answer rather than me rambling on with a long review.
