GMC Forum _ GEAR & PRODUCTION _ Guitars With 1 Pickup Only?

Posted by: steve25 Jun 26 2008, 10:28 PM

Hi guys. Do any of you know of any guitars or guitar brands that have just one pickup. As in just the bridge pickup and nothing else? I've found a fender but that's all. Cheers

My crappy guitar smile.gif
A Gibson Maestro. It's the cheapest electric guitar
I could find anywhere.

It was about $130 and it came with the guitar, amp,
extra strings, and 5 picks. laugh.gif

A pretty good starter guitar though.

You can get them with two pickups but Les Paul Juniors are usually seen with a single pickup in the bridge.

Ibanez had a couple variations on the Roadstar in the late 80's that had a single pickup config too, but I think most of them were closer to being a middle position rather than the bridge.

They Wayne Static signature guitars (ESP and Epiphone) are all single bridge pickup guitars too.

I LOVE those Kramers wub.gif

If I had to get a single pickup guitar (which I wouldnt cause the neck PUP is my favorite) it would be the Ibanez RG2610Z (Prestige) which looks just awsome !! biggrin.gif

I may have missed it. But, if not... Most Charvels have only one pickup.

I would feel so limited with just one pickup though . Especially, since I love the neck pickup sound...

Carvin DC125, they make good guitars...
