If you are an apple user, and have not tried LOGIC, now it is in the "App Store" and only $199 and still comes with hundreds of gigabytes of additional content such as loops, libraries, instruments, midi, fx, etc. It is quite simply the best DAW I've ever touched and has the richest feature set of any DAW I've even heard about. Beyond Pro Tools, Beyond, Reaper, Cubase, etc. It's honestly the pinnacle of software recording technology IMHO. The fact that Apple will sell it for the cost of a plugin is staggering.

Guess I'll have to buy a Mac so I can get Logic Pro!

One thing to note is that Apple decoupled MainStage from Logic. It is also in the App Store for $30.

Another great point For those that don't know, MAINSTAGE is sort of like GUITAR RIG but made by Apple and works really well with LOGIC. If its a new version, I guess you will have to upgrade as with anything. But I am sure you don't have to pay heavily like others.
