Artificial Harmonics

im having a little trouble with the artificiak harmonics and harmonics.
when i try to play them the notes jus stops dead

i believe when your doing yoru digging motino..yoru hitting the string with your thumb..2 hard...it shoudl be a very light touch.........i think..DONT QUOTE ME PLEASE..

most of it is equipment. and single pole pickups help, and especially pickups designed for that. however with the right settings on your digital device you can get them easily with any pickup. i can plug my les paul studio with full sounding humbuckers into an amp with low distortion, and to get harmonics to ring out I have to work. with the zoom device set to make them stand out, a baboon could get them easily using that same guitar. However i think to even a baboon, that tone would get old, it certainly does for me. with a fuller tone, you have to learn a bit of precision to get them to ring out.
