If anyone is familiar with this song I have a question about this lick here

D|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
F|--------9------5-----9-----5-------5----------9------5-----9------5------5--|
C|---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-9---9---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-9---9-|
G|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
C|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

*Note I couldn`t get the PMing dots to align so I left them out

In the recording the last note 9 on string C before the lick is repeated kind of...studders...I`ve been trying to think of how to explain the sound better. I`m sorry if it doesn`t make sense. How is that sound accomplished? Does the technic have a name so I can better communicate it later?

I'm not familiar with the lick, but you can wrap the tab in CODE tags and make it monospaced like this:

CODE
D|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
F|--------9------5-----9-----5-------5----------9------5-----9------5------5--|
C|---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-9---9---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-7---5-9---9-|
G|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
C|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

To me it sounds like Adam or Joe (whoever is playing this part) is using a tremolo whip.
(while the note sustains you hit or pull the tremolo bar shortly and let it snap back instantly, causing a slight rumbling)

Here at 3.25 minutes you can hear Mark Tremonti do it, I guess it's what KSE used
