We have a chain of shops here in the states called GUITAR CENTER and they are a great place to go to try out gear. Here are a couple of pics from a recent visit. The "Wall of Guitars" is always fun.

Do you have a fav music store?

Guitar Center is fun to just go blast through and play everything in sight, but I prefer to shop and support smaller local shops personally. You'll usually get better advice and service, as opposed to GC. Also, GC tends to buy BIG on the "factory-seconds" and slight defect guitars.....meaning their 335's, tele's, strats and such will usually tend to play a bit worse than the same guitars from other shops. That, and they don't take any time to set them up properly, like a smaller shop would.

In my opinion, you get what you pay for. And although GC is a fun place to go make noise, and they have a huge selection..... I think it's worth spending an extra 10% to get good local service, and a better guitar. But, I'm still about to go work for GC!!! They have better career opportunities, than a small local shop. dry.gif

Yeah,I have my favorite store! We often cooperate, so let's say that I have bought over 30 guitars there (for my students), and I had a complaint on a only one guitar ! Really good and professional dealers smile.gif
