Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey mate smile.gif long time no see! Your take has the right attitude and tightness! The only things I would point out, would be that the fast subdivisions are not always so clean in execution - min 0.21 for instance. Practice these a little slower for a perfect take!

hey man! good take! You playing and technique is ok. I think that you need some more practice of your palm muting technique to make the fastest figures sound more fluently.

Hey Maris, great to see another REC from you... although I'm going to give you a low score because you're taller than me !! tongue.gif

Only joking, of course !

I think this is a very strong take.. generally your palm muting and your timing is very good. I have just a couple of points for improvement for you:

The main gallop riff.. spend some time with this picking pattern because your hand is not used to it.. it wants to slow down by the sound of it. I think you have enough speed for it because you handled the fast 16th notes with no problem. I think your hand just needs to be more familiar with the picking pattern in the gallop so you can play it comfortably at that speed.

The other thing is during the 0:40 section, your palm muting becomes lighter and less effective.. so the result is a softer sound and the chords don't leap out as much. The other thing is try not to move your left hand until the last minute and let each chord have the maixum time before moving to the next one. This is something we all have to learn, to try and reduce the space between chords so it's no big thing smile.gif

Good work ! cool.gif

Very good timing and solid fretting. Problems are mostly in those triplets and tightness. Try making your picking more defined and your tone more tight, it's a bit scattered. Try with faster, tighter muting.
