I noticed a strange thing in this video, why is his E string under his pickup?
You can see it at 4:33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba-ip-mOVjo Someone asked the same question on the video comments but unfortunately, no one answered him. Any thoughts? Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

Maybe John put it there to mute it , so the camera man wouldn't strike it.

That guitarist is such an amature, tipped the E string under the pickup lol. Go see a guitar master class dude!
kidding of course. If you watch closely it looks like the camera man stuck it there with his first strum. -------------------- My bands homepage

I guess this is why Steve Vai often has tape over his neck pickup .. clever this vai guy .. [attachment=10579:RI_evo_SML.jpg] Actually, that's exactly why Steve has tape there. "The reason why the tape is on the pickup is because sometimes Steve hits the strings so hard the high E string would have a tendency to get stuck under the pick up." http://www.vai.com/Machines/guitarpages/EV...s_frameset.html -------------------- Guitars: ESP Semi-Hollow Eclipse, 1984 Ibanez Roadstar RS440, Peavey T-60, Daisy Rock Rock Candy Custom
